-
- I like the fact that NI2 can dither, and I haven't noticed any longer wait for
- windows to open. It's my choice that I prefer most of the NewIcons from Roger
- Covey(?), but I have to change all the Magic Icons to NewIcons or they look trash.
- I'm using MagicSelector to choose from over 400 backdrops, each with it's own
- 8 or 16 color palette. NewIcons always look fine. At worst they are bland (gray).
- MWB icons look terrible, until I change them to NIs, using the MWB palette, most
- of the time. As NIs they just always look bland ;)
-
- SK> Although the MWB icons are kind of bland and I am forced to lock my

- SK> (MWB
- SK> + 8 more colors) and I don't have to wait forever for the NI info to load
- SK> for each and every icon.
-
- I'm using NI on my 030/25 16 colors. I never noticed a slowdown. Someone with an
- AGA machine though, with 16 colors moaned. I suggested the system is wasting time
- looking to match the palettes. He said it flew in 256 color mode. Because the OS
- can create the palette as it draws the icons.
-
- SK> I'm sorry. Until I get my dream system, I'll have stick to MWB. But it
- SK> isn't like I'm damned to hell. I really wish the whole NI/MWB argument
- SK> would blow over. It's not worth it. Argue over the WALKER :-)
-
- Try to remember it should be left to the user to determine what he/she wants. I
- agree that it's silly to argue over.
